Modern Hospital in Riga

Since 1946, Jurmala Hospital has provided quality healthcare services to patients from Jurmala, Riga’s most affluent suburb. With over 100 beds the hospital offers a full range of surgical and outpatient care including internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, as well as emergency healthcare, diagnostics services, and rehabilitation.
In 2015 the hospital underwent a massive renovation of its surgical department adding 2 floors of new patient care and administration facilities. Each patient room includes flat screen TV, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, ultra-clean shower/toilet, plus new, hi-comfort beds.  I can’t say it’s a luxury hotel, but it’s surprisingly close.

GASTRIC SLEEVE OR GASTRIC BYPASS?

Surgical weight loss success starts with a highly experienced team of doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologist, nutritionist, plus nursing and other medical support staff. Upon entering hospital, all patients receive a full range of diagnostic testing which includes blood and urine profile, ultrasound exam and endoscopic gastroscopy under full anesthesia.

After pre-op tests are complete, our doctor’s assessment of your medical condition will determine which bariatric procedure is right for you. Post-surgery, our obesity nutrition expert will work directly with you to create a tailored dietary plan for adjustment back to normal life. When you return home, follow-up contact and support is maintained indefinitely to ensure long term weight loss success.
